The public has now been able to enter the infernal gates of Blizzard's newest ARPG adventureDiablo 4 for a few weeks. It's always entertaining to look at numbers since players have collectively logged "over 276 million hours" into the game. Today, Blizzard will share with us some entertaining facts. What subject is now the most popular? Ladies and gentlemen, it's the magic-wielding Sorcerer. This definitely won't come as a surprise to those who followed Diablo IV throughout its beta phase.
Blizzard disclosed this information in a public tweet, along with some other amusing statistics. These contain interesting facts like how the Butcher killed over 5,000,000 people or how 163 die-hard gamers reached level 100. But the real winners here are the Sorcerer players, who can all take pride in having joined the most well-liked class. I apologize, necromancers. The magic slingers are in control.
It's not totally unexpected that this option is one of the more well-liked ones in the game because the sorcerer class is a powerful one. There are several effective builds for the class, including the Ice Shards Sorcerer build and the Arc Lash Sorcerer build. Although you might argue that the Necromancer or perhaps the Rogue should have slash should have been the more popular choice, classes like the Druid were probably never going to lead the rankings. Whatever the case, the Sorcerer is in charge.
However, neither does the Sorcerer inherently do better than the other classes in this game nor does it lag behind. Although the sorcerer is the most popular class in the game, there are powerful builds for each one as well.
